BDC Membership

The University of Michigan Ballroom Dance Club is a members-only organization, although we always welcome newcomers to the ballroom club.

Individuals wishing to try out the club may purchase a One-Day pass for $5 for one evening. The one-day pass includes level 1 and/or level 2 lessons and open dancing from 8-10. No voting privileges come with a trial membership.

Regular membership covers Level 1 and Level 2 lessons and the open dancing from 8-10pm. It also reduces the price of entrance to parties. In addition, membership in the club entitles one to attend board meetings and vote in club elections and other agenda. One may join any Sunday by attending a lesson or open dance and paying the yearly, semester, or trial fee at the door (Affiliates include employees and Alumni):

* A student is anybody who is enrolled in a degree-granting program, whether at the high school, undergraduate or graduate level. For students, club membership includes all levels of classes.

**Level 3 class purchase includes the $5 day pass: Level 1 & Level 2 lessons and Open Dance.

The fee for level 3 classes depends upon instructors. The class fee for student instructors is $3, and $5 for professional instructors.
